Michigamme is a private voluntary association of families and individuals who are committed to the promotion, preservation and enjoyment of the English Setter. Michigamme proudly offers it's members opportunities for exploring the many facets of our multi-faceted breed. We strive to promote a strong sense camaraderie, friendship and fun, while placing a emphasis on responsible ownership practices.
There are two methods to become a member:
1) Application by Attendance - MESC requests that you make an attempt to get to know MESC and its members through attending at least two MESC meetings and/or MESC sponsored events. Once you have meet the attendance requirement your paper application will be submitted to the membership at the next meeting for a vote. This process allows the applicant an opportunity to get to know us and what we are about as well as allowing the members who will be voting on your application a chance to get to know you.
2) Sponsorship - MESC allows applications for membership accompanied by the sponsorship of a member in good standing. If applying using this method, we ask that your application be signed by the sponsoring member and at a minimum accompanied by a letter of recommendation by that member, or preferably that your sponsoring member be present at the club meeting where your application will be voted on.
